Hi!  My name is Katy Kieltyka, and I am overjoyed to be the new Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE) at St. Brigid. 

I have over 16 years’ experience working in religious education and youth ministry.  I am a certified catechist and a certified youth minister.  It has been over 18 years since I have worked at a parish in the role of CRE but my passion and excitement for working within the Catholic church has never diminished. During my hiatus from being a CRE my husband Jason and I relocated to Illinois from Michigan, and I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for our two children.  My son Josh is 19 and just finished his first year at the University of Louisville and my daughter, Evelyn is 16 and is finishing up her junior year at Carmel Catholic High School. 

I love working with children, catechists and families and am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the faith formation for the young people at St. Brigid.
