We are looking forward to the fall when we will all gather to grow in faith, learn more about Jesus and deepen our relationship with God and the Church.  The first class will be on Sunday, September 13th from 9:15am-10:45am.  This will be a “Welcome” day for students and parents to attend.  All classes take place in St. Patrick School.

Programs we offer:

Religious Education classes

We offer Religious Education classes for Kindergarten through 8th grade.

  • Classes meet on Sunday mornings at St. Patrick School from 9:15am-10:45am.  The time frame is designed so that your family can attend Mass at St. Patrick Church either before classes begin at 8am or after classes end at 11am.

  • Registration is now open! (see above link).

  • Full calendar for the year is available under “Calendars.”

Sacramental Preparation

  • First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion preparation takes place in 2nd grade.

  • Confirmation preparation is a 2-year program and begins in 7th grade and is completed in the spring of 8th grade.

  • Calendar for Sacramental Preparation is available under “Calendars.”

Sacramental Preparation Catch-Up

This class is offered to children who are in 3rd – 7th grade who have been baptized in the Catholic church but did not prepare and receive First Reconciliation and/or First Holy Communion.

Students who are interested in the catch-up class will register for the Sunday religious education class of their grade level.  Students will attend 7 classes in lieu of their grade level class to solely focus on preparing for the sacraments.  These “catch-up” classes will take place on the same dates and times that their grade level classes are happening.  Students will be given any work they miss from their grade level classes.  After preparing, the students will make their First Reconciliation in February and their First Holy Communion in April.  There will be a parent meeting in September to go over all the details of the program.

 Children’s Liturgy of the Word

  • This is a parish ministry that helps children (4 years old through 1st grade) grow in their understanding and love of the Mass.  It takes place during Sunday mass.  It’s offered once a month at Our Lady of Humility 9:30am mass and at St. Patrick’s 11am Mass.

  • Fall Schedule is available under “Calendars.”

We need your help!

This program cannot run without a lot of help from volunteers.  Please consider giving of time & talent.  Contact Katy Kieltyka if interested in helping.

A few areas we are looking for help:

Catechists- Our goal is to have 2 catechists in each classroom to share the load of this VERY important job. This is a weekly commitment to attend every religious education class and with the help of your co-catechist create lesson plans, teach the children and be a witness of your faith.  Training, materials, and support are all provided.

Classroom Aides- To help the catechists in whatever capacity they need.

Hospitality Team - Coordinate and serve refreshments at parent meetings and special events.

Sacramental Events - Assist with events, retreats, and meetings.

Service Sunday – We need help planning the event, gathering supplies and materials, and running the actual event.  (event will take place on 11/8/26 during religious education class)

Christmas Program- Help needed planning the program, rehearsing with the children, costumes, decorations and running the program.  (program will take place on 12/13/26 during religious education class)

Children’s Liturgy of the Word- Assist with the children at the Sunday masses that Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place.

Hall Monitors: Monitor activity in the hall during class time. Commitment is to arrive at religious education by 9am and stay until all children have left the building at the end of class (approximately 10:50am).  Looking for at least 6 volunteers to do this on a rotating basis.

**some volunteer positions come with a tuition discount!

High school students looking for service hours are invited and welcome to come and volunteer for any of the above positions (with the exception of Catechist).
