To the Faithful of St. Brigid Parish,
With a heart full of gratitude and joy, I write this letter following my ordination to the Diaconate in the Roman Catholic Church.
First, I want to thank Father Wojciech. His constant patience, wisdom, and understanding throughout the last three years of my formation have been an invaluable source of mentorship and spiritual grounding. His deep theological insight, combined with his ability to guide me with calm assurance, has helped me remain steady, humble, and focused on God’s call. Father, thank you for walking with me on this journey.
I also extend my deepest thanks to the seven Deacons of our parish. Your ongoing prayers, your time, and your willingness to walk alongside me—despite your own responsibilities with the Church, your families, and your professional lives—have made a lasting impact. Whether it was helping me through projects, training me in the sacred rites and sacraments, or simply sharing wisdom over countless cups of coffee, each moment was a blessing. Your example as servants at the altar, proclaimers of the Gospel, and witnesses of service in our parish and local community has inspired me to strive to be a better Deacon and follow the example of Christ’s servitude.
I want to thank you—the parishioners of St. Brigid Parish. Your unwavering prayers, your support and encouragement, and the many ways you have helped form me in our shared faith have touched me deeply. You have shown me what it means to live as the Body of Christ—with unity, love, and faith. From learning the practical workings of ministry in both churches to the overwhelming love shown through your kind words, warm receptions, and generous gifts over these past few weeks—my wife Edena and I are profoundly grateful. We felt, and continue to feel, embraced by this community in a way that words simply cannot fully express.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. I pray that my service to God, to our Church, and to each of you will reflect the love and support you have so generously poured into my life. May the Lord continue to bless St. Brigid Parish and all those who dwell within it.
In Christ, Deacon Dennis Holley and Edena Holley
