~A FAMILY PROJECT~

The finished banner should measure 12” wide by 18” long.

Supplies Needed:

 ~ A piece of felt large enough to make a 12”wide by 18” long finished banner.

~Felt scraps, fabric paint, stencils, buttons, trims

~Dowel rod (13.0” – 13.5” long)

~Cord, yarn or ribbon for hanging

 ~Fabric glue (e.g. Tacky Glue or Sobo)

Directions:

~The banner designs should symbolize the child’s gifts from Jesus and the child’s gifts to Jesus. 

~Paint or glue symbols on to the banner 

~Include your child’s FIRST name as part of the design on the front of the banner 

~Fasten the banner to the dowel rod and attach a hanger cord to the ends of the dowel rod. 

~Write your child’s first and last name on the BACK of the banner 

~Send your child’s banner to their catechist or the SRE office in the rectory no later than our Sunday, April 26^th session. 

~ If you will not be at the April 26^th session, please contact Jami to make arrangements to submit your banner PRIOR to the April 26^th session.
