Father Pat Cecil
Fr. Pat Cecil was born to Frank and Jane Cecil in Oak Park, Illinois, the second of seven children. He graduated from St. Joseph grade school in Elgin and Quigley Seminary North in Chicago. He received a B.A. in Theater from Loyola University and a Masters in Divinity Studies from St, Mary of the Lake Seminary. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1978. Previous to his assignment here at St. Patrick’s, he was an associate pastor at St. Angela in Chicago, St. Zachary in Des Plaines and St. Mary in Buffalo Grove.
Father Pat has been at St. Patrick’s Church since Easter of 1996. He is very happy being the pastor of such a friendly, energetic and Spirit-filled parish. He enjoys golf, volleyball, skiing, and travel, especially to Ireland. He is a fan of the Cubs, the Bears and Jimmy Buffett.
